As part of our efforts towards encouraging responsible travel and environmental stewardship, we are active participants in The Seven Principles of Leave No Trace. Waste that is not disposed of properly affects natural habitats, wildlife, rivers, and waterways that eventually makes its way down to our oceans and seas.
Trash and recycling bins are provided in the campground, as well as most high traffic areas of the Mount Laguna Recreation Area.
Always remember to “Pack it in, Pack it out.”
Please do your part towards ensuring the stewardship and preservation of our pristine forest habitats in the Cleveland National Forest.
Each of our sites is equipped with a trash can and additional dumpsters are close by for discarding full bags. Our team and the campground staff are always on the lookout for litter and especially microplastics. Microplastics are the most common forms of pollution we come across. Pieces of wrappers, bottle tops, straws, food remnants, hair ties, and toys are some of the usual findings.
It’s a problem that we constantly face and we need your help to mitigate it
Thank you for helping us maintain a clean environment in our San Diego Backcountry.
