Young and old alike, the desire for adventure and world exploration has captivated us throughout history to this very day. Lucky for us our beautiful planet could provide exploration opportunities for many lifetimes over. No shortage of world-class destinations and unique habitats waiting to be explored around every corner of the world.
MIAMI (CBS Miami) — This summer, many families hit the great outdoors to camp. But if you don’t want to rough it, consider glamping or glamorous camping. It’s a popular trend that’s reaching new heights.
We put a lot of thought into every detail of our glamping operation. We brought together a lot of ideas from our many travels, as well as firsthand experiences while roughing it in the outdoors. We never much enjoyed your typical tourist trap destination. The places we liked to explore were always the most remote areas and off the beaten path. This meant that we had to be very strategic with packing and keeping things streamlined with all the proper gear. It’s important to be extra prepared if you’re camping in the middle of nowhere hours away from civilization.

There are many types of outfitted and guided services provided on National Forest lands. The traditional types primarily involve hunting and fishing in a backcountry setting, but today the industry is highly diverse and includes whitewater floating and jet-boating, backpacking, mountaineering, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and even dog sledding.
