Visit Green Valley Falls

Green Valley Falls Campground is famous for it's seasonal river and streams that run through it creating falls, cascades and shallow pools. It's one of our most unique parks in the backountry with beautiful oak trees and defined by granite boulders. It offer plenty of hiking opportunities and gorgeous landscapes.

The campground sits at an altitude of about 4,000ft. The temperature can dip to 40 degrees by 10pm even in the summer. The terrain and trees give a sense of privacy to most of the sites. It’s the incorporation of nature into its design that makes this site one of a kind. The natural boulders and use of shade and hills provide both privacy and a uniqueness that not too many other places have.

Green Valley also contains the trailhead to the Arroyo Seco Primitive Trail Camp, as well as the Arroyo Seco Picnic Area.

Waterfalls

In commemoration of Earth Day last Saturday, CRSPIA, the California State Parks Foundation & dozens of volunteers came together to do maintenance work on trails & various other clean-up projects in the Rancho Cuyamaca State Park. It was a great turn out & we filled two 15 yard roll offs full of waste, concrete & asphalt for recycling, as well as a 40 yard dumpster with 4 tons of post fire wood debris.
