Plan Your 2020 Glamping Getaway

It gives us so much pleasure to be supporting the efforts of the US Forest Service and their vision for the Cleveland National Forest. With renovation work going on at the Laguna / El Prado Campground, we’re on a new assignment to showcase some of the lesser known areas of our beautiful Cleveland National Forest. We’ll be based out of the Boulder Oaks campground for the time being and look forward to showing you more of what this region has to offer.

We're still accepting bookings at Mount Laguna after March and perhaps even sooner. USFS and RRM are seriously considering opening Burnt Rancheria as soon as next month, in consideration of the closure at Laguna Campground. We'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you can come check out this hidden gem of the Cleveland National Forest, just outside of the Mount Laguna Recreation Area.

Boulder Oaks campgrounds is the only equestrian site in the Descanso district, offering 17 horse stables, 30 camp sites, and direct access to the Pacific Crest Trail.

Visitors are drawn here for the convenience of horseback riding and day hiking on the PCT, as well as picnicking in the beautiful oak groves and meadows.

The campground sits at an elevation of 3,300 ft. with lush oak and manzanita trees. The surrounding mountains are dotted with sagebrush. Wildflowers add color to the landscape in spring and early summer. The area is home to many species of local and migratory birds.

The beautiful Lake Morena County Park nearby offers fishing, hiking, and boating. Largemouth bass and trout are just some of the fish you can catch here. Boat rental available on site.

One of the most beautiful attractions is Kitchen Creek Falls, which is flowing steadily with all the recent snow and rainfall. The trail is accesses via the PCT that starts at the campground. It's a moderate 5 mile hike both ways on the PCT trail.

As US Forest Service Outfitters, we look forward to hosting you for an unforgettable glamping experience in our Cleveland National Forest.
