Alter Experiences, Ride Pine Flow and the Outpost by Valley Farm are teaming up to offer a new summer camp designed for families and dedicated to getting you out on our trails!

This all inclusive 3 day fest includes, glamping accommodation by Alter Experiences, mountain bike skills instruction and trail guiding with Ride Pine Flow and meals provided by The Outpost by Valley Farm. 

Your personal Alter Experiences glamping tent is located at the Laguna Campground, where you'll enjoy spacious group camping and common areas nestled among the pines with other adventurous families and mountain bike enthusiasts.

This summer camp style retreat is designed to be fun and immersive and social family interaction experiences. What better way to meet new friends and hang out with some of our glamping tribe?

Gail Shafer of Ride Pine Flow, is our local MTB certified instructor and guide. Following a brief assessment of skill, she'll be taking you through the basics of mountain biking - equipment, safety, trail etiquette, bike/body position, and riding skills, so that you will be ready for a fun weekend of bike skills, drills and guided trail rides. Her program is designed for beginners and advanced riders alike and she brings years of riding and instructing experience to the mix.

The Outpost by Valley Farm will cater breakfast and lunch each day and meal tickets will be provided for dinner at their restaurant location in Mt. Laguna which offers customized American favorites, a full bar with local craft selections, and specializes in BBQ/smoked meats. They'll have live music on Friday night for your entertainment featuring some of the best local artists around.

This is the first program of its kind on the mountain, bringing together glamping, mountain biking, great food and summer festival camp vibes. Spaces are limited so book now.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The 2023 MTB Glamping Fest will be held at Laguna Campground at Group Sites Blue Jay and Fox Den conveniently located right at the Laguna Lake trailhead. These sites are spacious and have a total of 7 individual bell tent accommodations, multiple tree tent accommodation options and 4 fire-pits. The larger group site is common space amongst the seven individual camp accommodations and will be shared.

You'll have your own bell tent and tree tent to choose from (first come, fist serve). You can bring your own tent, or smaller RV in addition. If you’d like to arrange for a large family group or group of friends to take over, we have plenty of space to accommodate such an arrangement. Contact us immediately to reserve space.

The glamping sites have flush toilets and showers adjacent to the glamping area.. There are drinking water spigots at the campground, as well as plenty of parking.

FRIDAY 7/21
8am / 10am - Beginner Skills with On-trail Instruction (90 minutes. 2 time slots. Max 13 riders per time slot.

- Tight turns, Track Stand


Ride
 

- Warm Up @ Campground (Basic Bike Skills Review

- Big Laguna Trail 3 miles of single track with one trail instruction

- Cabins trail to Meadow (steep transition)

 - Track stand near Rock Roll (for more advanced)

- Tight turns near Lake

- Climbing/Descending @ GeoCache

- Wheel Lifts at Little Lake

- Steep Transitions


Games


- "Slow Race"

- "Circle of Doom"

2pm (1.5hrs) - Beginner ride around the Meadows clockwise, 4-5 miles, ~200’ of climbing. 

4pm - (2hrs) - Beginner II ride up Agua Dulce and down Los Gatos, then possibly wrapping around the meadow depending on time, 5-6 miles, ~600’ of climbing. 13 riders max.

SATURDAY 7/22
8am / 12pm - Your choice of 1hr bike skills clinic, available clinics may include intro to jumping, intro to bike park skills (such as skinnies, steep transitions, and advanced wheel lifts), or beginner bike game.


SUNDAY 7/23
8am - Fun Ride or Intermediate Ride. route to be determined based on participating client skill levels.
