2020 is a big year for our company as it relates to our US Forest Service Outfitting Permit. The last 2 years have been an important pilot project for the growing glamping and outdoor hospitality industry, as well as the outfitting program in general. None of this would’ve been possible without the support of USFS Descanso Ranger District office, especially Lindsey Steinwachs.

Plan Your 2020 Glamping Getaway

It gives us so much pleasure to be supporting the efforts of the US Forest Service and their vision for the Cleveland National Forest. With renovation work going on at the Laguna / El Prado Campground, we’re on a new assignment to showcase some of the lesser known areas of our beautiful Cleveland National Forest. We’ll be based out of the Boulder Oaks campground for the time being and look forward to showing you more of what this region has to offer.

This will be our 4th winter living at 5,000+ feet elevation and with a glamping operation on Mount Laguna at over 6,000ft elevation.

Last week brought us a tremendous amount of snowfall (18+ inches) right on time for the Thanksgiving weekend. Holiday weekends coupled with this amount of snowfall have had a tendency to be a recipe for disaster on the mountain.

We're so grateful for a wonderful year of operations in 2019 at the Laguna Campground. We have some important developments to share with you at this time.

We had our first snow fall of winter this week with about 2 inches of snow on Mount Laguna. More snow is on its way next week right in time for the Thanksgiving holidays.

What a wondrous spectacle this early in the winter.

Forecasters called conditions this week as "summer, fall and winter” convergence. Temperatures along the coast were in the mid 90's early this week, right before snow made fall on Wednesday morning.

Fall is a very popular time around here with so many activities to choose from. Lightning Trout have been biting at Lake Cuyamaca and Julian is celebrating many fun fall festivities.

We're currently booked every weekend until end of November. We have one space left on the weekend of November 15th.
