Immersion Travel in the Age of Social Media

More than just glamping and hospitality, we set out to create a signature nature immersive experience. Our concept was inspired by fast growing immersion travel trends, which focus on experiencing a particular place by actively and meaningfully engaging with its history, people, culture, food and environment. It is also referred to as experiential travel and among the sectors expected to grow most quickly during the coming two decades.

We knew this book would be a personal touch and addition to our glamping site. Appropriate reading under the starlight sky of our beautiful backcountry, in a day and age where we’re rapidly losing our dark skies, our forests, our wildlife and our overall connection with nature.

We've been all hands on deck in the operation over the past few weeks. Back to back bookings every weekend and a lot more weekday bookings, which is always nice to see.

Every new booking enquiry these days has been so exciting for us to see. It’s been a constant affirmation that we’re providing a much needed and desired service. Over the past couple of weeks we’ve had a wide range of guest profiles.

Yesterday was a big day for us. We were delighted to host Nichelle Medina and the CBS News crew for a national new story about our company, set to air in the coming weeks. Our small glamping business in San Diego's backcountry is gaining national attention, as more & more people start catching on to these new and growing hospitality trends.

San Diego’s backcountry is unique in many ways including being one of the last places in California where you can still observe the milky way with the naked eye.

Temperatures are finally warming up and our waterfalls in the San Diego Mountains are flowing strong. No better time to visit and enjoy our beautiful waterfalls.

We've had so much needed rain and snowfall this year and we're expecting a very hot summer. We have various waterfalls which you can visit including: Green Valley Falls, Cedar Creek Falls, Three Sisters Falls and Merrigan Trail Falls.

Now is the time to book your glamping reservation and make the hike to some of these magnificent backcountry waterfalls.

We're going Facebook LIVE on Sunday 3/31/19 as operation #KickstartGlampingSanDiego comes to an end. Thanks for everyone's continued support. We've exceeded our pledge goal and reached $25,790 as or March 27.

We exceeded our $25,000 pledge goal this morning. None of it was easy or would’ve even been possible without the support of so many of you. Still kind of hard to believe at times. I had my doubts and low points. I’ve learned so much from the entire experience. I am excited to apply crowd-funding campaigns in the future, as we get to opening new glamping destinations over the coming years.

We weren’t exactly sure what to expect when we launched operation #KickstartGlampingSanDiego

We built this company from the ground-up and we invested everything we had into it. It was important for us to see the business grow organically, while we fine tuned our operation and set a standard for outdoor hospitality.
